My Board Works
Does your board environment naturally anticipate and support your neurocognitive profile?
Every director has a unique neurocognitive profile. Every board has its own design, culture, and conventions. This tool helps you explore how well the two align, and where the friction between them might be coming from.
Your results will highlight areas where your board environment supports your neurocognitive profile and where there might be misalignment. The tool covers eight dimensions of neuroinclusion in governance: Meeting Environment, Meeting and Agenda Design, Communication Accessibility, Board Governance Infrastructure, Access to Support, Acceptance and Belonging, Psychological Safety and Interpersonal Respect, and Chair Effectiveness.
You do not need to know anything about your own neurocognitive profile to complete this tool. All questions are relevant to every director.
Developed by Unique Mind Co. This tool has not been formally validated and is designed as a reflective starting point, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument.
On completion, your anonymised dimension scores are recorded for research purposes to help us understand neuroinclusive governance design. No personally identifying information is collected or stored.

Your Results
Here is how your board environment aligns with your neurocognitive profile across eight dimensions.
Your alignment profile
The further a point extends toward the outer edge, the stronger the alignment in that dimension.
What this means for you
What to do with your results
Your results are a starting point, not a verdict. They reflect your experience of your board right now, and they may look different depending on the period in which you complete this tool. If some of what you have seen is confronting, that is worth sitting with, but it does not mean the situation cannot be improved or that you are stuck.
Not every area of mismatch carries the same weight. Some dimensions may be frustrating but manageable. Others may be quietly draining you in ways you have not yet named. The dimensions where the mismatch is greatest are worth the most attention.
Some of what affects your experience on a board is structural and slow to change. Other things, including how you communicate your needs, what you ask for, and how you protect your energy, may be more within reach than they feel right now.
Sometimes the most useful thing you can do with results like these is sit with them in conversation, with a trusted colleague, peer director, or mentor who knows your context. You do not have to work through what you are seeing on your own.
And if what you have seen today has raised something you would like support to explore, that is what the options below are for.
For individual directors
If your results have surfaced something worth exploring, I offer coaching for neurodivergent directors navigating board environment mismatch. Get in touch via the contact page and tell me a little about your situation.
Get in touchFor boards and governance teams
If you are a chair, company secretary, or governance professional interested in understanding neuroinclusion across your board, I work with organisations to run this assessment at scale, facilitate structured conversations, and translate findings into practical governance design change.
