What you’ll learn
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
Define neurodiversity and neurodivergence, and explain why they matter in workplaces.
Differentiate between the neurodiversity paradigm and the pathology paradigm, and understand how each shapes leadership.
Describe some of the neurotypes under the neurodivergent umbrella, and appreciate the diversity of lived experiences.
Recognise how ideas of “normal” and “professional” can exclude people, often in ways leaders don’t notice.
Apply the SPACE framework (Sensory, Predictability, Acceptance, Communication, Empathy) at a basic level to identify opportunities for inclusion.
