Neuroinclusive leadership and governance for complex organisations
Working at the intersection of governance, leadership and neurodivergence!
I’m Sara Harrup, Board Chair, Non-Executive Director and former CEO.
I advise Boards and executive teams on leading and governing well in organisations where people think differently, and I work directly with neurodivergent leaders navigating complex, high-pressure roles.
As an Autistic ADHD leader, I bring both lived and leadership experience to this work.
Sara Harrup
Board Chair, Non-Executive Director, former CEO and Autistic ADHD leader
As an Autistic ADHD leader, I have worked at senior levels inside systems that quietly reward certain ways of thinking, communicating, decision making and regulating energy. I understand the cost of this to neurodivergent people.
My work is about being the bridge.
I support neurodivergent leaders navigating high-pressure roles, and I advise Boards and executive teams on redesigning governance and leadership practices so a broader range of minds can contribute fully and challenge constructively.
Neuroinclusion is not about comfort. It is about correcting design bias. When organisations fail to do this, capable people burn out, disengage or are sidelined. When they succeed, contribution deepens, debate improves, and outcomes strengthen.
This work is about reducing preventable harm and building systems that work better for everyone.
Services
Organisational and Team Work
I work with Boards and leadership teams to apply a neuroinclusive lens across physical environments, systems, processes and relational dynamics.
This is structural work. It strengthens decision-making, reduces preventable strain and improves performance at senior levels.
Engagements may include governance advisory, leadership workshops, team coaching and implementation support.
Senior Leader Coaching and Advisory
I work one-to-one with senior leaders and professionals navigating complex environments. This may take the form of executive coaching, strategic counsel or disciplined thinking partnership. The focus is clear judgement, sustainable leadership and practical decisions that hold under pressure.
“Neuroinclusion is not a business strategy. It is a deeply human standard. ”
